Welcome to our BDC family of artists Richard Colburn from Scottish indie-pop band Belle and Sebastian.

Richard: “I first came across a BDC kit at Gorbals Sound studios in Glasgow. It was one of the in- house kits and it sounded great and recorded so well.

I had been used to playing vintage kits but wanted a new drum set-up, especially for touring.  BDC were the only drums I wanted as the drums sound great, look great and are so well made. There’s so much versatility in the sound of the drums; dynamically fantastic and a beautiful tone. I can play in my comfort zone and the drums really project. My friend, and BDC artist, Jim McDermott (Del Amitri) put me in contact with BDC and I’m really delighted to be part of the family.  Everyone at the Company is fantastic and they really know their stuff. I look forward to starting our upcoming tour with my new Lounge series kit’".

Belle and Sebastian are celebrating this year with a 30th anniversary tour, including a special run of two-night shows across the UK, Europe, North America, Mexico, Australia, Singapore and Japan playing their Tigermilk and If You're Feeling Sinister albums .
